COVID-19
We will do all that we can to ensure the pool is hygienically clean for all swimmers. The pool area will be cleaned thoroughly after each session, including door handles, light switches, chairs, shower and toilet areas and floors.
Symptoms of Covid-19
The main symptoms of coronavirus are:
a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure you temperature)
a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal.
Most people with coronavirus have at least 1 of these symptoms.
If anyone has any symptoms of COVID-19, you MUST inform us at least 2 hours prior to your swim. You will not lose your money if you adhere to this, and arrangements will be made to rebook the session.

Plains Pool Hire Agreement.
Anyone using the pool’s facilities does so at their own risk!
Please arrive ready to use the pool with your swimming kits on under your clothes and shower beforehand if possible.
Please remove shoes when entering the pool building and place in the box marked SHOES by the door. Hang your outdoor clothes on the hooks provided in the changing rooms.
For hygiene reasons, please shower before using the pool if you have not showered at home, and tie long hair back.
The pool is unsupervised. It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that all users can swim adequately or use the correct swim aids. The pool is 1.2m - 1.4m deep throughout with no shallow end.
The hirer is responsible for the safety of their group at all times while on site and will ensure these rules of the pool are always understood and observed by everyone.
Please be punctual, each session starts and finishes on the hour booked and includes changing time.
Please ensure that you leave on time and leave the pool, changing & toilet facilities as clean and tidy as they were when you arrived and report any issues.
Maximum number using pool is 30.
No hot drinks or glass containers in the pool area. Only food preordered to be eaten poolside in the designated area. Do not walk around with food or eat in the pool. Plastic bottles or cartons are allowed.
No swimming under the influence of alcohol and drugs. We retain the right to refuse entry to anybody appearing to be under the influence.
- There can be no diving or dive bombing as the pool is not deep enough.
- All jewellery to be removed before entering the pool.
- All children under 16 must be always be supervised by an adult.
If your child isn't toilet trained, they need to have watertight swim wear; waterproof nappies alone are not sufficient. A Happy nappy can be purchased at Boots or Amazon and are reusable. A disposable swim nappy is worn underneath (these can be purchased on site if you have forgotten or need an extra swim nappy). Please report any mishaps immediately.
- No hard balls or hard toys in the pool
- No running.
- No smoking.
- No talcum powder in any area.
Payment for your swimming session must be made before you start using the facilities.
Occasionally it may be necessary to close the pool for maintenance. Guests will be notified at least 48 hours in advance if it affects their hire.
All users should be in good health and it is your responsibility to ensure that the pool, the pool chemicals and the pool environment will not affect any medical condition they suffer from.
I have read the Conditions of the hire agreement and I agree that: I am responsible for the safety of my group and will ensure the rules are always observed by everyone.
- I understand that if the rules are not observed the hire will be terminated immediately without refund.
- I am liable for any damage caused by not following the rules.
- At least 48 hours notice must be given for cancellation failure to inform us will result in non refund of deposit.
- My party will vacate the premises, including the changing rooms, by the end of the hire period.
